McGaheysville Firefighters respond to structure fire

On July 10 at approximately 10:20 p.m., McGaheysville firefighters, along with crews from Elkton and Shenandoah fire companies, were dispatched to a residential structure fire in Massanutten. First arriving units found heavy fire at the rear of the house extending into the top floor. Firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control and spent several hours conducting overhaul operations. The total time on scene was about three hours. All occupants evacuated safely.
