Today the McGaheysville Vol. Fire Co. remembers a very special young man who we were blessed to have in our firehouse family. Roy Dale Smith, III was a dedicated member and was working hard to fulfill his dream of being a career firefighter when he lost his life in a vehicle accident on the way to a structure fire 10 years ago today. Roy, we will always remember you and we pray that you are watching over us. Rest in Peace, Brother.
