Traffic Crash in Massanutten

MAY 13 - Company 80 and Rescue 35 were dispatched for a traffic crash on Resort Dr. with no injuries. Upon arrival on Eng. 801 crews found a single vehicle approx. 25 feet over an embankment on its top. Crews checked the vehicle for fire hazards while Medic 352 obtained a patient refusal. Traffic Crash in Penn Laird

APRIL 25 - Company 80 and Rescue 40 were dispatched for a traffic crash on Spotswood Trail in the area of the Penn Laird Post Office. Lt. Steve Powell (RCFR) was first to arrive and found a two vehicle traffic crash with one patient still in the car. Capt. P. Trimble (RCFR) assumed command upon arrival on E801. APRIL 14 - Company 80, Company 30 and Rescue 35 were dispatched for a structure fire involving a shed with fire and smoke showing. Engine 801 was already out of the house on another call in the area and was on the scene in 3 minutes. Light smoke was showing upon Lt.81 arrival. APRIL 11 - C80,C30, R35 were dispatched for a vehicle fire threatning a structure on Bethel Ln. in Massanutten. Upon arrival, E801 found a pickup truck with the engine compartment well involved. Three Alarm Fire at Dave's Recycling in Harrisonburg

APRIL 09 - Truck 80 was called to assist the HFD with a 3-alarm fire that started a little after 5pm at a Harrisonburg recycling center. The fire spread quickly through the complex due to the heavy fuel load of recycleables stored in the buildings. MARCH 25 - Truck 80 took part in paying the last respects to a fellow firefighter who had dedicated over 50 years of service to the Shenandoah Vol. Fire Co. (C70). James A. Miller 66 of Shenandoah was laid to rest today after passing away at his home on Friday. Mr. Miller was the father of Capt. Arthur Miller (FM50) of the Harrisonburg Fire Dept.

MARCH 13 - A structure fire on S. Montevideo Cr. completely destroyed a single story dwelling Thursday morning. No one was home when the fire broke out, it was reported by a neighbor down the road at 10:45. A heavy column of black smoke was visible when E802 left the station. Lt.
