Traffic Crash - Spotswood Trail

JANUARY 24 - On January 23rd at approximately 18:30 hours crews were dispatched to the scene of a traffic crash with ejection and possible entrapment. Upon arrival of E801 crews found 1 patient ejected from and 1 patient pinned under the vehicle. A third patient was transported to RMH for evaluation. LZ Requested To Assist Elkton Emergency Squad

JANUARY 18 - On January 18 at 18:30 hours crews were dispatched to assist with the landing zone for a trauma patient from the Massanutten ski resort. Crews responded and established the landing zone. Radio transmissions between the LZ coordinator and Peagasus brought the helicopter safely to the LZ. The patient was then loaded and flown to the University of Virginia Medical Hospital.

Final progress on Engine 802

Halloween Safety

OCTOBER 21 - During the halloween trick or treating here are some tips to keeping safe.

* Plan costumes that are bright and reflective.

* Make sure that shoes fit well and that costumes are short enough to
prevent tripping, entanglement or contact with flame. -- Consider adding
reflective tape or striping to costumes and trick-or-treat bags for

Train Wreck In Front of MVFC

OCTOBER 15 - On November 15 at 11:13 hours units were dispatched to a train wreck with entrapment in front of McGaheysville Fire Dept. Crews at the station responded while other members took Engine 801 down to the scene. Command advised they had a sigle vehcile on its wheels into a train with 1 entraped.
